A testament to the perfect marriage of past and present—we created an inspired, yet comfortable residence worthy of its agrarian roots and heritage.

Acting as general contractor in collaboration with owners Bill and Anne Arvin, architect Darren Taylor, and interior decorator Julie Williams, we transformed this 1820’s Gothic Revival farmhouse into a one-of-a-kind destination. Incorporating modern livability with historic architectural elements—The Shanklin House is a bricks and mortar expression of Central Kentucky culture and its deep connection to the extraordinary Bluegrass landscape of Jessamine County.
