Jay joined Terra Firma Construction in 2024, as a Senior Project Manager and Master Carpenter.
Born in Bridgeport West Virginia, Jay discovered his love of architecture while studying structural engineering and CAD programming in high school. He then attended the University of Kentucky, where he earned an architecture degree from the UK College of Design in 2005.
Jay brings a wealth of expertise to Terra Firma, having worked successfully in the design-build business in the Lexington area for over 20 years—with a portfolio ranging from complex historic restorations and new additions, to furniture building and sculpture.
Jay is a highly conscientious craftsman, who enjoys working with his hands while also managing even the most complex of construction details on site… resulting in the creation of legacy projects second to none. Terra Firma is honored to have him on board as the leader of our team.
